On July 31, 2004, the Congress for the Doctrine of the Faith released a 37-page "Letter to the bishops on the collaboration of men and women in the Church and in the world." Various media immediately wrote it off as more of the usual nonsence from the Vatican on the issue of women. In reality, it is another contribution to a profound understanding of man-woman relations in the eyes of God. In order to introduce the letter, Donna Procher set out an outline of its nature.
