On March 3, 2010, the two Toronto newspapers which support and promote the homosexual agenda practically every day, brought good news. The Toronto Star stated: ‘Kenney blocked gay rights in citizenship guide: documents;” and The Globe & Mail read: “Minister nixed gay rights mention in study guide.”

            Catholic Insight immediately e-mailed congratulations to Immigration Minister Jason Kenney for dropping the paean of praise to the homosexual agenda from the new study guide for immigrants. The description covered Liberal Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau’s “decriminalizing” homosexuality in 1969; the reading of sexual orientation into the Charter of Rights in 1995 (without mentioning that it was done by a single Supreme Court Justice, Peter Cory, off the top of his head without any consultation with anyone whomever); and the legalization of same-sex unions as “marriage” by Liberal Prime Minister Paul Martin in 2005.

            Unfortunately, the next day Jason Kenney, the Immigration Minister, denied he did it: “I did no such thing…” Well, then, somebody in his office had the good sense to know that these disastrous Liberal “achievements” have no place in a guide for new immigrants. Many newcomers come from cultures where sodomy and lesbianism are still held in abhorrence as contrary to God and nature, as indeed, they do to most Canadians.

            No doubt a homosexual activist leaked the draft to the Canadian Press. But why panic? As Chris Selley pointed out in the National Post two days later (Mar. 5), it was a perfectly legitimate objective and well within the Minister’s jurisdiction to do. Selley added: “But think how much happier conservative supporters would be if Mr. Kenney had just stood by his principles…[There is [no] reason to apologize for not considering [“gay rights”] worthy of inclusion in the Citizenship Guide.”

            Come to think of it, we suggest that in the next printing the picture of “gay” activist Mark Tewkesbury which is still in the guide, be replaced by one of our gold medallists of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. 

            As for Conservative Ministers and Members of Parliament, stop fibulating, show some mettle, and roll back the disgraces heaped upon Canada by the Liberals. End the 2005 marriage travesty, the legal killing of babies, and remove all the other features of the Culture of Death introduced over the last 40 years.
