“Concerned Catholics” denounce Cardinal Mahoney

Every year during mid-term break Cardinal Roger Mahoney of Los Angeles organizes a huge Religious Education Congress (REC).

This year’s REC (March 18-21, 2010) has 188 speakers and 356 workshops, with an expected attendance of 40,000 teachers, including many teaching religion.  Cardinal Mahoney claims he approves all the speakers.

Yet, year after year REC speakers include well-known dissenters from Church teaching, especially on the subject of homosexuality.

This year, as in previous years “Concerned Roman Catholics of America, Inc” (CRCOA) have taken out full-page newspaper ads in selected Catholic papers and one daily paper, listing some of the best known dissenters (see, e.g., The Wanderer, Feb 18, 2010, p.10)

            For further information contact CRCOA, PO Box 8095, Anaheim, CA, 92812-8095 • (714) 491-2284 • email crcoa@dslextreme.com • Website: www.crcoa.com

Also, the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) has invited Garrison Keller, a pro-abortion, pro-same-sex union Episcopalian as its keynote speaker for its convention in Minneapolis, MN, on Wednesday, April 7.

            Please boycott both meetings.
